Gatito Amigurumi Siames

Hacia bastaaaante que no tejía. Es que el calor no da como para estar jugando con lana.

Pero el clima un poco más fresco me dio la inspiración y la energia suficientes como para encarar una vieja idea que tenía sin desarrollar en el fondo de mi mente: hacer al crochet un gatito siamés sentadito.

Estaba ansiosa de intentarlo porque no había encontrado por ningun lado en la web algo igual, mucho menos un patrón gratis.

Algunas fotos de trabajos hechos por otra gente muy habilidosa me dieron pistas como para empezar a imaginar la forma, que terminó con un montón de partes.

Tambien hubiese querido imitar mejor las características manchas del pelaje oscuro en la cara de los siameses, pero se me compicó demasiado y no me quedó bien... así que tuve que rehacerlo de una manera más simple.

Los ojos, la parte más expresiva de cualquiera, sea persona, animal o amigurumi, fueron una parte especialmente complicada. Los rehice al menos dos veces! Es que no se me da bien el tema del bordado... Y tampoco conseguí los ojitos tipo gato que se le ponen a los muñecos, así que era: o bordarlos, o nada.

Probablemente, alguien con más experiencia en el arte de bordar obtenga cien veces mejores resultados.

En fin: el gatito está listo, y me parece que en general quedó bastante gracioso. Le gusta el sushi (su favorito es el nigiri de salmon) y jugar con cosas que rueden (como las frutas). Batuque y él (o ella) se hicieron amigos, afortunadamente. Hubiese sido un verdadero problema que se llevaran mal.

I didn't chochet for a loooong time now. It was the heat, it is hard to play around with yarn in the summer. But a better weather give me some inspiration and energy, enough to start a new project of a old idea, kept in the bottom of my mind: to make a crochet Siamese (sitting) kitten. I was exited about the idea, because I didn't found something like that in the web, much less a free pattern of a sitting cat in crochet.

Some photos of very handy people's works give me some ideas of how to shape my kitty, wich happened to finish with a lot of different parts to sew toghether. Also, I would liked to grasp better the characteristic brown pattern on the face of siamese cats, but I was making it so complicated that it ended bad... so, I had to re-do it in a much simpler way. The eyes, the most expressive part of everyone, be person, animal or amigurumi, were the most complicated part. I did 'em at least two times! It's beacuse I don't know how to embroider too well... And I didn't had any safety cat eyes, so it was: embrider or nothing.

Probably, Anyone with more experience in the art of embroidering will do the work a hundred times better than me.

So: the kitten is ready, and I think it's truly funny and lovely. It likes sushi (its favourite is salmon nigiri ) and to play with round things (like fruits). Batuque and him (or she) become good friends, lucky me. It would be a real problem if they didn't get along well.
